2.37 Carat White Diamond Solitaire found at Crater of Diamonds State Park in Murfreesboro, Arkansas

Recently on the New Year’s Eve, a 2.37-carat white diamond was discovered by an Arkansas man named Gary Dunlap, at the World’s only diamond-bearing site, Crater of Diamonds State Park in Murfreesboro, where visitors are allowed to look for for and keep the diamonds and precious gems they find. The diamond Gary Dunlap discovered was the fourth most precious diamond discovered in 2006 at the Crater of Diamonds State Park in Murfreesboro, Arkansas. A total of 486 precious diamonds were found in the park in 2006. Among the other precious diamonds found in the same year at the 37.5-acre search field of Crater of Diamonds State Park in Murfreesboro were a 4.21 yellow Okie Dokie Diamond found in March, a 6.35-carat brown Roden Diamond found in September, and a 5.47-carat yellow Sunshine Diamond found in October. It is estimated till now a total of 25,000 diamonds were discovered since 1975 when the park was opened for visitors to search for and keep the diamonds they find. So far the largest diamond found at the park was a 16.37-carat Amarillo Starlight diamond found in 1975.
