Complete Web 2.0 directory – Go2Web20.net launched

The much awaited and talked about web directory Go2Web20.net is finally launched today. The site owner, Orli Yakuel is a blogspot blogger as well. The site has a cool minimalist look. Clean interface and easy navigation. It is a one page visual web directory where the all the listed websites are based on web 2.0 technology. The designer Eyal Shahar has rendered it an exclusive look. Lots of amazing websites has been listed on it that at least I have never heard of before. When we click on any listed website icon, a short description of that site appears on the right hand side of the page with the listed site's url. Visitors can sort websites by date of entry, alphabetically, or by tags. There is also a search box to search websites. There is a "suggest an application" option where visitors can suggest the site owner if they know any web 2.0 application which has not yet been listed in the directory. There is an RSS feed as well. Overall I felt the site is amazing, user friendly, and a great web 2.0 directory. It is indeed a complete Web 2.0 directory.

Microsoft launches Digital Music Player ZUNE

Microsoft launched its digital music player Zune on 15th September 2006. It has some great features including a 3 inch screen, a built in FM tuner, and feature to share music and pictures. Its expected capacity (as said by Microsoft) is around 7,500 songs, 25,000 pictures, or 100 hours of video. It is expected to give a high competition to Apple's popular Ipod. Zune will be available in white, black, and brown color but I doubt it can match the good looks of Ipod. No price has been quoted yet. Zune is manufactured by Toshiba, and is expected to be available in market by Christmas.

Features:4.4 x 2.4 x 0.58-inch footprint (vs 30GB iPod's 4.1 x 2.4 x 0.43-inches, and 80GB iPod's 0.55-inch thickness.5.6 ounces (vs iPod's 4.8 and 5.5 ounces for the 30 and 80GB models)WiFi is 802.11b/g, photo is JPEG only.Faster charge time than an iPod, but no spesific battery life revealed yet. Not user replaceable.
