Overweight Or Obese Female Children are More Likely To Develop Asthma – Study

According to new study, overweight or obese female children are more likely to develop asthma when they are older is comparison to normal weight female children. The study was begun in 1968 with 8583 participants when the participants were 7 year old. However, strangely enough, overweight or obese male children do not face any such risks. Doctor John A. Burgess of the University of Melbourne stated, "Attempts to reduce the burden of excess weight in society must be supported emphasizing the need to focus on children, perhaps young females particularly, in order to prevent asthma."
