Microsoft launches Digital Music Player ZUNE

Microsoft launched its digital music player Zune on 15th September 2006. It has some great features including a 3 inch screen, a built in FM tuner, and feature to share music and pictures. Its expected capacity (as said by Microsoft) is around 7,500 songs, 25,000 pictures, or 100 hours of video. It is expected to give a high competition to Apple's popular Ipod. Zune will be available in white, black, and brown color but I doubt it can match the good looks of Ipod. No price has been quoted yet. Zune is manufactured by Toshiba, and is expected to be available in market by Christmas.

Features:4.4 x 2.4 x 0.58-inch footprint (vs 30GB iPod's 4.1 x 2.4 x 0.43-inches, and 80GB iPod's 0.55-inch thickness.5.6 ounces (vs iPod's 4.8 and 5.5 ounces for the 30 and 80GB models)WiFi is 802.11b/g, photo is JPEG only.Faster charge time than an iPod, but no spesific battery life revealed yet. Not user replaceable.
